Rison will challenge McGehee on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Rison have bulldozed their previous four opponents, so McGehee might have their hands full.
Rison put the finishing touches on their 4th blowout victory of the season last Friday. They put the hurt on Drew Central with a sharp 39-7 win. The margin was wide but not a surprise since Rison are ranked far ahead of Drew Central in the MaxPreps state rankings.
Meanwhile, it was all tied up at the half for McGehee and Lakeside, but McGehee stepped up in the second half. Everything went McGehee's way against Lakeside as they made off with a 38-8 victory. The high-flying offensive effort was a definite turnaround from McGehee's flat performance the match before.
Their wins bumped Rison to 4-0 and McGehee to 2-2. Given their high-scoring efforts against their previous opponents, it will be interesting to see how far up these teams can run up the score.
