The Sebastian River Sharks have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 56-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Harmony on Tuesday. Sebastian River lost against Harmony in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 51-44 score last time.
Despite the loss, Sebastian River still got an impressive performance from Andrew Simpson, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds. The matchup was Simpson's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Keenan Matthews, who scored seven points along with six rebounds.
Sebastian River's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Harmony, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.
Sebastian River and Trinity Christian Academy will face off at 6:00 p.m. on December 27th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Trinity Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 426th, while Sebastian River is ranked 190th). Harmony will take on Centennial in a holiday battle at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday at. One thing working in Centennial's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine games.
