The Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica Seawolves pushed their score all the way to 66 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 76-66 to Pilibos. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Tuesday (62), Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica still had to take the loss.
Antranik Balian was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 34 points and ten rebounds for Pilibos. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which Balian has scored at least a third of Pilibos' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Eric Honanian, who scored 16 points along with seven assists and six rebounds.
Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Pilibos, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica will square off against Milken at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pilibos will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Chatsworth at 4:30 p.m. on January 13th.
