On Saturday, the Swink Lions's game was all tied up 12-12 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 29-28 victory over Kim/Branson. For Swink, this counts as revenge for the 37-28 defeat Kim/Branson walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Swink was led to victory by Hunter Wallace and Briana McElroy. Wallace scored ten points, while McElroy scored 13 points. The match was Wallace's fifth in a row with at least ten points.
Swink now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Kim/Branson, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
Swink will head out on the road to face off against St. Mary's at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Mary's presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Swink in Colorado (St. Mary's is ranked 45th, while Swink is ranked 140th). Kim/Branson will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Primero at 3:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
