Mead is 0-10 against Johnson-Brock since February of 2018 but things could change on Friday. The Mead Raiders will head out to face off against the Johnson-Brock Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Mead is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.9 points per game this season.
Mead was handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Omaha Christian Academy on Friday. Mead claimed a resounding 72-43 win over Omaha Christian Academy. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Mead's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Brady Gartner, who went 6-for-10 on his way to 15 points and seven boards, and Isaac Couch, who went 6-for-14 to rack up 15 points. The game was Couch's eighth in a row with at least 15 points. Aaron Hering was another key player, putting up five points and six rebounds.
Mead smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in ten consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Johnson-Brock was able to grind out a solid win over Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] on Saturday, taking the game 63-54.
Johnson-Brock's win came from a few key players Mead will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Brody Koehler, who went 7-for-15 en route to 20 points in addition to seven boards and five assists. Another player making a difference was Camden Dalinghaus, who posted 17 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Mead's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.3 points over those games. As for Johnson-Brock, their record is now 22-1.
Mead came up short against Johnson-Brock in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 58-46. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Dalinghaus, who had 20 points. Now that Mead knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
