Mogadore has gone a perfect 5-0 against Waterloo recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Wildcats will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Vikings at 5:00 p.m. Mogadore comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
It was a proper cat-fight when Mogadore duked it out with Norton on Thursday. The Wildcats lost 10-4 to the Panthers.
Mogadore saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Woitas, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI. Those RBI were Woitas' first of the season.
Meanwhile, Waterloo played in-conference for the first time on Thursday and got just the result they were looking for. They put the hurt on Lowellville with a sharp 11-1 win. The Vikings not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 17, 2024 (when they won 11-0).
Mason Biltz made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk). Biltz was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Vincent Mori, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Cole Kaiser was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.
