It was a good run, but the Warsaw Tigers unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 60-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Westfield. Warsaw was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Westfield apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Joslyn Bricker, who scored 15 points. The matchup was Bricker's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Alexis Neely, who scored 8 points along with 9 rebounds and 6 assists.
Westfield was led to victory by Lindsey Van dyke and Aubrey Crockett. Van dyke scored 13 points along with 6 rebounds, while Crockett scored 19 points. Samantha Price was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 5 rebounds.
Warsaw's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Westfield, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Warsaw's road trip will continue as they head out to face Carroll at 7:30 a.m. on December 6th. Carroll will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 202nd, while Warsaw is ranked 35th). As for Westfield, they will head out on the road to face off against Carmel at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
