Needles extended their winning streak to ten games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Luke Mills. The Needles Mustangs breezed by the White Pine Bobcats to the tune of 67-36 on Friday thanks in part to Mills, who went 10 for 20 on his way to 25 points and four steals. His evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.
The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Goulet, who posted three points and four steals. Goulet is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least three every time he's taken the court this season.
Despite the loss, White Pine saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ryder Loveless had eight points and nine rebounds. Mo Van Tassell was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.
Needles' record now sits at 8-0. As for White Pine, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.
