There's no place like home for South Sevier, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Beaver Beavers a 10-0 shutout on Friday. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Ryker Freeman was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Jaggar Redd was incredible, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Peyton Ingram, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

South Sevier's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Beaver, the loss snapped their winning streak at 11 games and leaves them with a 12-2 record.

South Sevier has already played their next contest (against Non Varsity Opponent), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Beaver, they will take on Millard at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12 runs per game on average), something the Beavers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
