Tyus Miller Dazzles in Clovis East Victory
Tyus Miller's big game helped extend Clovis East's winning streak to nine on Friday. Nobody could stop Miller as he threw for 257 yards and four touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes, and also rushed for 80 yards on only seven carries.
Unfortunately for Buchanan, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Miller. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Miller saw the Bears), he threw for 208 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 78 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.

The victory made it two in a row for Central and bumps their season record up to 7-2. They and Buchanan will meet on Friday for a tough Bear Battle.

Clovis East was led to victory by Blake Mathieu, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Mathieu picked up 136 receiving yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 31 yards.
For the year, Mathieu has caught 13 touchdowns while averaging 81.4 receiving yards per game.
