The Newfane Panthers lost against the Wilson Lakemen back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Newfane took a 47-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wilson.
It was another big night for Peyton McInnis, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and four blocks for Wilson. The contest was McInnis' seventh in a row with at least ten points. Rian Faery was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with nine rebounds and six assists.
Newfane's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Wilson, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.
Newfane will head out on the road to face off against Medina at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wilson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Albion at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
