The Einstein Titans had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They secured a 58-54 W over Clarksburg on Friday. For Einstein, this counts as revenge for the 71-63 defeat the Coyotes walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2016.
Einstein's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nasir Speight led the charge by scoring 20 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. It was the first time this season that Speight scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tekli Adhanom, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 17 rebounds.
Einstein's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Clarksburg, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.
Einstein will head out on the road to face off against the Colonels at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Averaging 61.43 points so far this season, Magruder's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so the Titans better be ready for a challenge. As for Clarksburg, they will face off against the Bengals at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Blake presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Coyotes in Maryland (the Bengals are ranked 85th, while the Coyotes are ranked 242nd).
