In what's become a running theme this season, the Farmville Central Jaguars gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 82-47 win over Wilson Prep. The win was nothing new for Farmville Central as they're now sitting on 12 straight.
Mykal "MJ" Williams was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points. Another player making a difference was Chris Rhodes, who scored 15 points.
Wilson Prep's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ben Ferguson, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds. It was the first time this season that Ferguson pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Newsome, who scored eight points.
Farmville Central pushed their record up to 19-1 with that victory, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 34 points. Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Farmville Central will take on Washington at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Farmville Central knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 20 matches -- so hopefully Washington likes a good challenge. As for Wilson Prep, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Northwest Halifax at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Wilson Prep is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Northwest Halifax in North Carolina (Wilson Prep is ranked 76th, while Northwest Halifax is ranked 574th).
