The Mount Michael Benedictine Knights will face off against the Omaha North Vikings at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Omaha North took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Mount Michael Benedictine, who comes in off a win.
Mount Michael Benedictine barely beat Platte Valley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Knights were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over Platte Valley on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Knights sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Kyle Oldehoeft spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Mount Michael Benedictine is 4-2 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 4-8 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Mount Michael Benedictine let Dominic Beninato and Barett Sykora run wild. Beninato went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI, while Sykora went 1-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs Beninato has posted since back in March of 2024. Nathan Bluvas was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
Meanwhile, Omaha North might've scored the first runs on Saturday, but it was Lincoln Southeast who claimed the real prize. The Vikings came up short against the Knights, falling 18-7. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Omaha North saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Max Bolouvi, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Another was Baker O'Neill, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.
Omaha North's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Mount Michael Benedictine, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.
Mount Michael Benedictine skirted past Omaha North 11-10 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
