Last Friday, Prairie View Academy blew past Claiborne Academy, posting a 44-6 victory on the road. With Prairie View Academy ahead 30-6 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Prairie View Academy found their leader in underclassman Hayden Little, who threw for 139 yards and two touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes, and also rushed for 99 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries. Little is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last four games he's played. Cole Murphy was another key contributor, rushing for 97 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Hillcrest Christian lost to Faith Christian HomeSchool Academy at home by a decisive 82-64 margin on Friday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Hillcrest Christian came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi football rankings (they are ranked 34th, while Faith Christian HomeSchool Academy is ranked 271st).
Prairie View Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-4 record this season. Hillcrest Christian has been struggling this season, as they've lost eight of their first nine games, which gives them a 1-8 record this season.
