Arkansas School for the Deaf had trouble two weeks ago, and unfortunately for them, their opponent this week is a big step up in difficulty. On Thursday they take on Hermitage at 7:00 PM. Coming off of a loss in a game they were expected to win, Arkansas School for the Deaf now face the more daunting task of proving themselves against unfavorable odds.
Things haven't been easy for Arkansas School for the Deaf, and their matchup two weeks ago only extended their streak of losses to three. They took a serious blow against New Mexico School for the Deaf, falling 6-53. The result was totally at odds with the teams' state rankings as Arkansas School for the Deaf enjoys a hefty 72 spot advantage.
Last Friday, Hermitage faced Decatur in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Hermitage took a hard 36-56 fall against Decatur. Hermitage were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Decatur apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat from the last time the teams met up.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. The teams are out to make things right after dropping matches they were expected to win, so stay tuned to see which squad bounces back.
