Santa Margarita extended the longest winning streak in Trinity this week by beating St. Bonaventure, 35-27. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
St. John Bosco came in at 5 in the state poll after placing at number 26 last week.
Santa Margarita's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Johnny Stanton threw for 133 and two touchdowns and River Cracraft had 83 yards receiving. On the ground Ryan Wolpin chipped in 200 yards. Kyle Sweet helped Santa Margarita's passing attack out by catching two balls for 50 yards.
Santa Margarita's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Eagles feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Stanton has thrown for 949 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, while Cracraft has 23 catches for 444 yards. Wolpin leads the league in rushing with 728 yards.
Servite suffered a letdown when it was bounced from the state Top 25 this week after a 42-0 loss to Bishop Gorman. The Friars had been ranked 19th, but fell to 41 following the defeat.
