There's no place like home for the Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer Titans, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against Sterling by a score of 47-34 on Friday. That looming 47-34 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer yet this season.
Leading Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer to victory were Hunter Bohling and Brogan Dunlap. Bohling dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds, while Dunlap scored 16 points along with six assists. That makes it six consecutive games in which Dunlap has scored at least 25% of Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Colt Mcclarnen, who scored eight points.
Sterling lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Owen Uher, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Uher has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Brody Horstman, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Even though they lost, Sterling were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer's victory ended a 11-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-9. As for Sterling, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-10.
Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Conestoga at 4:00 p.m. on January 6th. Conestoga has insisted on making their lastfive contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 4-1 during that stretch of close contests. Sterling will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Southern on January 19th.
