Western's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They blew past the Hastings Saxons 9-1. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Jackson Luke was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI. Lincoln Levy was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

The victory snapped Western's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-9-1 record. As for Hastings, they are on a 20-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-25.

Western will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Saxons: the pair will be back at it again later today.
