Northglenn Gets a Boost from Stevenson in 17-14 Loss
Starting off the list is Northglenn's Josiah'Ez Stevenson, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Stevenson rushed for 163 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.6 yards per carry, and also picked up 87 receiving yards and a touchdown. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 61 yards.
Stevenson and Northglenn will square off against Mountain Range at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Norsemen had to take a loss when they last met the Mustangs, but Stevenson had little to do with the loss: he rushed for 74 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 44 receiving yards. Mason Kiewiet put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in October of 2023 on Friday. He rushed for 204 yards while picking up 11.3 yards per carry, and also threw for 175 yards and a touchdown while completing 76.9% of his passes.
Unfortunately for Mountain Range, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Kiewiet. When Kiewiet last faced the Mustangs back in October of 2023, he threw for 344 yards and five touchdowns while completing 78.9% of his passes, and also rushed for 41 yards and a touchdown.

Overland Wins Third-Straight Thanks to Dejay Davenport
Dejay Davenport was instrumental in extending Overland's winning streak to three on Thursday. Davenport turned in nothing short of a gem, picking up 193 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Overland is undefeated when Davenport posts two or more receiving touchdowns, but 1-4 otherwise.
The win got Overland back to even at 4-4. Davenport and Overland will look to defend their home field on Friday against Boulder at 7:00 p.m.
