After flying high against the Hartford Public Owls last Saturday, the New Fairfield Rebels came back down to earth. New Fairfield fell just short of Stamford by a score of 58-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Stamford's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ejai Presley led the charge by scoring 18 points. The matchup was Presley 's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Connors , who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
New Fairfield's defeat dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Stamford, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.
New Fairfield will head out on the road to face off against Immaculate at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Stamford, they will be playing at home against St. Joseph at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
