Marshall County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kamriq Perryman, who rushed for 66 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries. Another big playmaker for Marshall County was Antomme Cowthorn, who returned a punt for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Pearl-Cohn put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat White House 56-6 at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-0.
Pearl-Cohn got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Keshawn Tarleton out in front who threw for 191 yards and four touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of D?arious Reed, who picked up 103 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Marshall County's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 8-1. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-9 Montgomery Central and 2-7 Creek Wood (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 32.9% over those games). As for Pearl-Cohn, their win bumped their record up to 9-0.
Keep an eye on the end zone in Friday's game as the pair haven't had much trouble getting there this season. Marshall County commands a daunting offense this season, having averaged 5.2 touchdowns per game. However, it's not like Pearl-Cohn struggles in that department as they've been even better at 6.2 per game. With these two high-octane teams facing off on Friday, fans should be in for an exciting offensive matchup.
