East Longmeadow is 2-7 against the Generals since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The East Longmeadow Spartans will head out on the road to take on the Pittsfield Generals at 7:00 p.m. East Longmeadow will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Massachusetts Rankings (they are ranked 97th, while the Generals are ranked 27th).
Back in January, East Longmeadow had to suffer through a rough 68-34 loss at the hands of the Generals. East Longmeadow was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-13.
East Longmeadow's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Pittsfield, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-4.
East Longmeadow was dealt a bruising 68-34 defeat at the hands of the Generals when the teams last played back in January. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point East Longmeadow was down 35-13.
