Softball Recap: Fairport Wins Going Away Against Irondequoit

Fairport never let their opponents score on Monday. They put the hurt on the Irondequoit Eagles with a sharp 9-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Red Raiders, who have now won three contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

Fairport got a great performance from Annabella Clark as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. Clark has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Waverly Milliman was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Julia Poligone, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Fairport now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Irondequoit, they dropped their record down to 1-3 with the loss, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Fairport didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-0 win against Rush-Henrietta on the 24th. As for Irondequoit, they have also already played their next matchup, a 6-5 defeat against Gates Chili on the 22nd.
