Make it eight blowout wins for the Panther Creek Catamounts this season. They breezed by Holly Springs at home to the tune of 77-45. The win was familiar territory for Panther Creek who now have five in a row.
Taylor Barner was her usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with nine rebounds and eight steals. She hasn't dropped below 15points for seven straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Tucker, who scored 18 points along with five steals.
Despite the defeat, Holly Springs had strong showings from Amy Lissow, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds, and Kalaesia Lincoln, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lissow has scored all season.
Panther Creek's victory was their 25th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 31.2 points. As for Holly Springs, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.
Panther Creek will head out on the road to take on Middle Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Middle Creek will be looking to extend their current 12-game winning streak. As for Holly Springs, they will be playing at home against Apex at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Apex focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday.
