The Woodsboro Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They suffered a tough 38-16 loss at the hands of Skidmore-Tynan. Woodsboro has struggled against Skidmore-Tynan recently, as their contest on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Woodsboro had strong showings from Kaylnn Vega, who scored nine points along with five rebounds, and Jaqulynn Tully, who scored three points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Vega has scored all season. Kira Meacham was another key contributor, scoring two points along with seven rebounds and four blocks.
Woodsboro has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 13 of their last 14 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-19 record this season. As for Skidmore-Tynan, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-7.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Port Aransas the next time they take the court. Skidmore-Tynan will host Port Aransas at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while Woodsboro will head out to face them at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
