Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Monica Academy). They took their match on Friday with ease, bagging a 76-48 win over the More Knights. The victory was some much needed relief for the Crusaders as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak.
Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Quentin Vogel, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 13 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Selway, who posted ten points and four steals.
St. Monica Academy's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-10. As for More, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-7.
St. Monica Academy has already played their next contest, a 67-52 defeat against The Palmdale Aerospace Academy on the 20th. As for More, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, an 81-61 victory against The Nueva School on the 21st.
