After flying high against the Miami Springs Golden Hawks on Thursday, the Reagan Bison came back down to earth. Reagan was dealt a 44-8 loss at the hands of Goleman on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Reagan of the 46-17 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.
Despite the defeat, Reagan saw an underclassman step up: Sophia Naranjo-palma scored four points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Naranjo-palma has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last 12 times she's played.
Reagan's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Goleman, they pushed their record up to 14-4 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Reagan and Hialeah will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Reagan focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Friday. Goleman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
