The Lake Braddock Bruins will head out to take on the West Potomac Wolverines at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
West Potomac will be up against a hot Lake Braddock team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. The Bruins blew past South County 10-3 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Bruins, who have now won 11 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
MacKenzie Verdejo made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Verdejo was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI.

In other batting news, Lake Braddock got a massive performance out of Olivia Saint-Victor, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Those three RBI gave Saint-Victor a new career-high. Addison Forde was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one triple.
Lake Braddock kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, West Potomac beat Woodson 16-13 on Friday.
Lydia Pullen was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Stella Weeks also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Lake Braddock's record now sits at 12-5. As for West Potomac, their record is now 7-8.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Lake Braddock hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .352. However, it's not like West Potomac struggles in that department as they've averaged .315. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
