There's no place like home for Joel Barlow, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They never let the Bunnell Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Monday. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by eight runs or more this season.

Gavin Maryott was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over six innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one run.

In other batting news, Billy Bardani was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season. Jimmy Kennedy was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two doubles.

Joel Barlow was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .481. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .360 or higher in six consecutive matchups.

Joel Barlow pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Bunnell, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.
