The Ouray Trojans will face off against the Olathe Pirates at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Ouray will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Mancos, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Ouray really took it to Mancos for the full four quarters, racking up a 61-25 win. The game marked the Trojans' most dominant victory of the season.

It was another big night for Cavan Pasek, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 18 rebounds. The match was his fourth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Conner Hill, who went 5 of 7 to rack up 13 points and three blocks.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Olathe, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They secured a 72-67 W over North Fork on Saturday.
Ouray better keep an eye on Isaiah Gordon. He was instrumental in Olathe's win, putting up 33 points in addition to five assists and three blocks. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Gordon has scored at least a third of Olathe's points. Jeyden Estrada was another key player, going 5 for 11 en route to 15 points and eight boards.
Olathe smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in five consecutive contests.
Ouray's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-9. As for Olathe, their victory ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 9-10.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Ouray has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 34.4 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Olathe struggles in that department as they've been averaging 31.1 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Ouray came up short against Olathe in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 70-60. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Gordon, who went 7 of 12 from beyond the arc on his way to 43 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Now that Ouray knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
