Everything went their way against the Beaver Falls Tigers on Tuesday as they made off with a 19-7 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Quakers as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Olivia Hoose made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Hoose was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with six RBI, three runs, and three doubles.
In other batting news, Quaker Valley got a massive performance out of Grace Carver, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That triple marked the first that Carver has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Jarrett, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.
