Softball Recap: Mountain View Wins Going Away Against Summit

While Mountain View put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Summit. The Cougars put the hurt on the Storm with a sharp 16-0 win. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by nine runs or more this season.

Mountain View got a massive performance out of Cadence Kennedy, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Paige Aponte, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Mountain View always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .586. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.

Mountain View pushed their record up to 7-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Summit, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
