The Valley Heights Mustangs lost against the Hanover Wildcats two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Valley Heights fell 55-45 to the Wildcats. Valley Heights has not had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Hanover found their leader in underclassman Tanner Bruna, who scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bruna has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Garrett Martin, who scored seven points along with 13 rebounds and two blocks.
Valley Heights has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Hanover, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valley Heights will take on the Eagles at TBD on Friday. Axtell is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games. As for Hanover, they and the Buffaloes will face off at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Republic County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 310th, while the Wildcats are ranked 96th).
