There's no place like home for the Concord Minutemen, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Saturday. They strolled past Jimtown with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 36-17. This was payback for Concord, who suffered a 43-33 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Natalie Butler and Abbey Brown certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Butler scored six points along with seven rebounds, while Brown scored two points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Jimtown struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Concord's victory bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Jimtown, they bumped their record down to 8-10 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Concord will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Plymouth at 1:30 p.m. Plymouth has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Jimtown, they will head out on the road to face off against Penn at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Penn presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Jimtown in Indiana (Penn is ranked 70th, while Jimtown is ranked 221st).
