Roger Bacon won the last time they faced Northwest and things went their way  on Thursday too. The Roger Bacon Spartans simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Northwest Knights 52-22. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five  matches by 30  points or more this season.
 Roger Bacon's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Anna Schlichter, who  went 6 of 13  on her way to 14  points and seven  steals. Schlichter is  on a roll when it comes to  steals, as she's  now  grabbed three or more in the last five games she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Gussie Hoffman, who  posted 13 points.
Roger Bacon's win  ended  a  three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 6-8. As for Northwest, their loss was  their seventh straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 1-11.
 Roger Bacon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  contest,  a  52-33  defeat against Summit Country Day on the 11th. As for Northwest, they will venture away from home to  face off against St. Bernard-Elmwood Place  at 7:30  p.m.  on Monday.
