The Winston Red Birds suffered their biggest loss since November 27, 2023 on Thursday. They took a serious blow against Cameron, falling 55-22. While losing is never fun, Winston can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 410th, while Cameron is ranked 132nd).
Cameron got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Eme Teel out in front who scored 16 points along with seven steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Jameson, who scored 17 points.
Winston's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Cameron, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winston will face off against Brookfield at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cameron, they will head out on the road to square off against Lawson at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
