The Jordan-Matthews Jets waltzed into Wednesday's contest with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Trinity and snuck past 35-33. This was payback for Jordan-Matthews, who suffered a 55-14 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Jordan-Matthews' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lia Carter led the charge by scoring 11 points along with 6 steals. The contest was Carter's third in a row with at least ten points. Cassidy Graves was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 4 steals.
Jordan-Matthews' victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Trinity, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jordan-Matthews will take on Western Guilford at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Western Guilford focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Tuesday. Trinity and Oak Grove will face off at 6:00 p.m. on December 1st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
