If the Dupree Tigers were feeling good off their 73-37 takedown of the Tiospaye Topa Thunderhawks last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Dupree ended up on the wrong side of a tough 75-55 walloping at the hands of Jones County on Thursday. Dupree has struggled against Jones County recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Jones County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cooper Feddersen, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. Feddersen hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Kinsley, who shot 4-for-5 from long range and dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten assists.
Dupree now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Jones County, their victory bumped their record up to 11-7.
Dupree's road trip will continue as they head out to face Crazy Horse at 2:30 p.m. on February 10th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in South Dakota (Crazy Horse is ranked 80th, while Dupree is ranked 105th). As for Jones County, they will be playing at home against Bennett County at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
