Baseball Recap: Parkrose Beats Gresham for Their Third Straight Victory

Parkrose entered their tilt with Gresham on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They skirted past the Gophers 8-6. That's more bragging rights for the Broncos, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Chaz Johnson was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Joaquin Degroot, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Parkrose's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Gresham, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Parkrose will take on McNary at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Gresham, they will face off against Central Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
