Nogales has gone 8-2 against Cienega recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Apaches will face off against the Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
On Friday, Nogales was able to grind out a solid victory over Walden Grove, taking the game 13-8. The Apaches haven't had any issues with the Red Wolves recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Max Manson looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Juan Pablo Tapia was incredible, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Luis Diego Jacquez, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Nogales always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Walden Grove only posted an OBP of .364.
Meanwhile, Cienega entered their tilt with Flowing Wells on Wednesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They were the clear victors by a 15-2 margin over the Caballeros. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by six runs or more this season.
ANDREW ROMO made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. ROMO was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and one triple.
In other batting news, JAMES LINZMEYER was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one double. He has become a key player for Cienega: the team is 7-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-5 otherwise. ISRAEL HERNANDEZ also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
Nogales' record now sits at 13-7-1. As for Cienega, their record is now 11-7.
Nogales took their victory against Cienega in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 6-0 score. Do the Apaches have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bobcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
