Potosi had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 69-51 win over the West County Bulldogs. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 254th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Potosi's victory bumped their record up to 16-3. As for West County, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-7.

Potosi didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 69-40 loss against Farmington on the 15th. As for West County, they will challenge Ste. Genevieve at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West County is facing Ste. Genevieve at the right time seeing as Ste. Genevieve is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
