The Mountain View Christian Academy Conquerors won the last time they faced the Randolph-Macon Academy Yellow Jackets, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Mountain View Christian Academy took down Randolph-Macon Academy 35-18. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Mountain View Christian Academy.
Leading Mountain View Christian Academy to victory were Taylor Spiewak and Eryn Demko. Spiewak dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds, while Demko scored 13 points along with eight steals and five rebounds. Spiewak's trending in the right direction, as she's improved his point production for four games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Jocelyn Mengel, who scored four points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Randolph-Macon Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Kay Perry and Bijou Kebbay. Perry scored eight points, while Kebbay scored six points.
Mountain View Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Randolph-Macon Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
Mountain View Christian Academy's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Shenandoah Valley Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 29th. Shenandoah Valley Academy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Randolph-Macon Academy on the road again on Thursday and play against Highland at 5:00 p.m. on January 25th. The pair have allowed few points on average, (Highland: 25, Randolph-Macon Academy: 23.4) so any points scored will be well earned.
