The Clarendon Broncos had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.8 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They blew past Shamrock, posting a 58-6 win at home. Considering Clarendon has won six matchups by more than 22 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Despite the loss, Shamrock still got an impressive performance from Terry Menefield, who picked up 162 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Clarendon's victory was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.0 points per game. As for Shamrock, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Clarendon will head out on the road to face off against Wellington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Wellington's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last four matches. As for Shamrock, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Memphis at 7:00 p.m. Memphis comes in on a streak of failing to score more than seven points in their last six games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
