The Lawrence Central Bears waltzed into Friday's game with two straight wins but they left with three. They breezed by University at home to the tune of 68-18. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Lawrence Central also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2022.
Lawrence Central got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lola Lampley out in front who scored 16 points along with 6 assists and 6 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylah Lampley, who scored 20 points along with 3 steals.
Several Trailblazers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mackenzie Feeney, who scored 2 points along with 4 steals.
Lawrence Central's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for University, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lawrence Central will stay at home for another game and welcome La Lumiere at 3:00 p.m. on November 18th. University will take on Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
