In what's become a running theme this season, the Atlantic Christian Cougars gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They blew past The Pilgrim Academy 75-40 at home. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Atlantic Christian also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Atlantic Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Noah Stokes, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. Stokes has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. Charlie Costello was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with two blocks.
When it comes to explaining why The Pilgrim Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ayden Miller. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Miller has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Parmer, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 14 rebounds.
Atlantic Christian now has a winning record of 5-4. As for The Pilgrim Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Gloucester County Christian the next time they take the court. The Pilgrim Academy will host Gloucester County Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, while Atlantic Christian will head out to face them at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
