The Dillingham Wolverines's three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They managed a 42-37 victory over Sand Point. The win was just what Dillingham needed coming off of a 71-40 defeat in their prior contest.
Despite the loss, Sand Point still got an impressive performance from Rowdy Tripp, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 15 rebounds. Tripp has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Peter Calugan, who scored seven points.
Dillingham's victory ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4. As for Sand Point, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Dillingham does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Sand Point won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Tanalian at 10:30 a.m. on January 27th.
