Arp extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 11-4-1. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the White Oak Roughnecks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 17-8 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2025.
Zane Bourque was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits.
On the hitting side, Will Sanford made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Isaac Poe, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.
As for White Oak, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since March 25, 2025.
On White Oak's side, Jaxsen Ludlow made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. What's more, Ludlow posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2025. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one double. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.
In other batting news, Tyson Mckinney was incredible, going a perfect 5-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Those five hits gave him a new career-high.
While Arp had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
