4A Region 6 recap November 5, 2013
Magee added to the longest winning streak in 4A Region 6 this week by beating Mendenhall, 19-13. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Florence and Raymond played the most contested game in the league this week, with Florence eventually emerging with a 21-20 victory. Kelton Carr ran for 115 yards and caught 5 passes for 70 yards during the win.
The Eagles' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Chandler Grantham threw for 40 yards and Carr had 70 yards receiving. On the ground Carr contributed 115 yards.
Florence's dynamic duo of Grantham and Carr proved to be unstoppable against the Rangers, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Carr provided a threat through the air and on the ground as steve pruett's team topped Raymond.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Tigers' Keairez Coleman and Julius Craft have proven to be a lethal combination. 5-11 quarterback Coleman has thrown for 820 yards this season, while Craft has 33 catches for 626 yards. Carr from the Eagles leads the league in rushing with 667 yards.
Florence made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,906 from 9,540. The improvement was largely due to a 21-20 victory over Rodney Hawthorne's team last week.
