Walden Grove had a senior duo take command as Ashton Romney scored 21 points and MarQuez Tyree scored 19 points. Romney has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last 11 times he's played. Imileo Martinez was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
When it comes to explaining why Amphitheater lost, one person who can't be blamed is Moses Messan. Despite the final result, he scored 20 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Eli Travis, who scored ten points.
Walden Grove is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-10 record this season. As for Amphitheater, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.
